[xubuntu-users] Caps Lock Indicator?

My laptop has no cap-lock indicator LED. I've scoured the Net for an indicator
app to no avail. I tried, e.g.,

lock-keys-applet

available in a ppa. It and others did not work. When added to panel, this
applet displayed an American Flag but offered no options to display caps-lock
status.

I'm running Xubuntu 14.04.1 LTS.

I tried that and saw no way to make cap-lock display. Only Keyboard / behavior
settings, short cuts, layout. Nothing related to caps lock. The "widget"
displays as a US Flag on my panel.

Did I miss something?

Left click on the indicator. It should give you a menu to tell it which
key (caps-lock, num-lock, scroll-lock) to indcate, and a preferences
choice that the indicator only be visible when the lock condition
for the selected key exists. To add more keys, just install it more than
once and configure accordingly.

If that's not what happens, I've no clue. It works fine for me and has
for several Ubuntu releases.
